Two things come to mind when I think of this collection. It was highly anticipated and one of the most controversial releases this year... Other than the ABH Subculture palette, it may have taken first place. This Sephora and Moschino collaboration was HYPED up beyond belief and the launch was a complete DISASTER, Sephora really dropped the ball on this one. I myself bought into the hype and stayed up until a ridiculous hour waiting for the release, I was finally able to check out early in the morning. I was one of the lucky ones. Not to mention, Sephora had 2 release dates that were postponed due to the "Bears are running late". The third time was the charm. A lot of people are saying the bears were taken right out of their cart while checking out, or their orders were canceled upon approved payment. Talk about frustrating, especially if you were one of the ones that lost your beauty sleep trying and get this collection.

I picked up 3 things from this collection. The eyeshadow palette, brush set, and the duo highlight. Let's take a look at these Bears!



I keep wanting to say the bronzer.... I don't know why. The duo HIGHLIGHTER! Lol. It is a bit of a darker highlight but still nowhere near a bronzer! I'm still debating whether I like these shades on my skin tone or not... I know they definitely will not work for me in winter, perhaps with a little self-tanner. Keep in mind though I am also darn near transparent. These highlights would look much better on anyone with a medium skin tone or darker.




The above photo was taken outside with sunlight. When applied on my skin it was just your average highlighter. Nothing too impressive, and it does have quite a bit of shimmer in it as well.

My family and I headed out for a little road trip to Calgary and Banff before Connor has to head back to school at the beginning September. While staying with my bestie in Calgary I thought I would turn the camera on while getting ready as she headed out for her lash appointment. It's a Mommy Edition. The infamous Subculture palette... I ordered this palette the day it was released on Sephora and it finally showed up at my house today. So much for that 2 day shipping, Sephora.
While waiting to receive this baby the BRUTAL reviews began slapping you in the face all over the internet, beauty bloggers and makeup lovers are ripping this palette to pieces. This made me anticipate the arrival of this palette even more. I had to see what the hell people literally lost their damn minds over. Let's take a look, shall we?




She is beautiful, isn't she? Absolute eye candy for us makeup junkies! It comes with a decent dual ended synthetic brush. One side for packing on shadow and a fluffy side for blending. There are eleven matte shades in this palette along with two dual chrome being Cube and Electric, as well as one metallic being Adorn.

Above is the top row. Cube at the very bottom had a hard time showing up on my skin tone. Adorn, the metallic shadow is beauuuuutiful!


As you can tell by these swatches there is absolutely no doubt that the pigment is there. I did find them to be a little chalky while swatching them. One thing that struck me as a little strange is when I went to remove them with a makeup wipe they turned into a sticky paste that mix together on my skin and was very difficult to remove. I did dip the brush in to see how much kick back there was, that was one of the main things people were so upset about. I didn't find it to be a problem at all. I compared it to the Modern Renaissance palette and the Makeup by Mario collab palette they did together. They both had an equal amount of kick back and if anything the Mario one had even more. If I see one more person on Instagram or Youtube swirling their brush in there like they're mixing some cupcake batter my head will explode! Not to say there is no kickback, there is. If you use it like any normal highly pigmented eyeshadow and give your brush a little tap tap you are not going to have an issue. Alright, let's talk about how this eyeshadow actually applied.
